Comfort and Easy Joy

Hello Dear Friends of Bluebird Fairies,

I'm happy that so many of the fun people I chatted with at Burlington's South End Art Hop have joined our blog posting email list.  Three times a month I write a posting about the fairies I pull from my fairy deck on the 8th, 18th and 28th of each month.

On the 18th I pulled this wonderful fairy:

She's, as always, perfect.

In just a few days I will be leaving the home I lived in for over two and a half years.  This is noteworthy to Bluebird Fairies as it is here in this elegantly organic round house that this company was brought into existence.  And it's not just the house but the whole area with its 'Grandmother Tree' in the backyard, the many trees I've named, the ring of ferns that surrounds us all and the dear creek named Lewis that is always moving alongside us.

This house has been 'comfort and easy joy' for me.  Two years ago as I was ending a difficult job situation I would be calmed by the thought that at the end of the day I would be home.  This continues to be true but the necessity is less strong.

The house was built by a group of women in the 70's to be a place of healing.  Now, I feel that for those people who seek health this house is more than ready to heal.   During my years here the house has broken down a lot of the barriers in me that kept me from finding my own comfort and easy joy.

The truth is that we always have the ability to find comfort and easy joy.  Our hearts know us well.  When we are clear enough to connect with them they can let us know just what to do.

Every day I pick a “Fairy of the Day”.  When it's 'Comfort and Easy joy' I sometimes get a little 'ticked' when the day is actually rather challenging.  But when I recall her funny face and softly electrified hairdo I chuckle.  I know she's reminding me to listen to the 'tick' of my heart so I can slip into a softer way of being; no matter what I'm in the middle of.

So, find your way, dear friends to your hearts.  Fairy Decks are always available for your assistance on our web site.  And I've got the Fairy Booth up on Oct 2 and 9 at the final two Arts Riot Truck Stops of the season.  Lastly, know that I’m always available for comment or a consultation.

Be well!

Fondly,

Emily and the Bluebird Fairies
