Take Time to See the Beauty and Feel the Magic

Hello Friends of Bluebird Fairies,

Fall 2019 small.jpg

We are now well into the autumn season in the Northern Hemisphere. I hope you’ve been enjoying the shifts in energy, color and temperatures. Where I live the crickets still sing at night. We know, though, that this will change.

It was recently my birthday. My mother gave me a card that included these words by May Sarton:

“I think of the trees and how simply they let go, let fall the riches of a season, how without grief (it seems) they can let go and go deep into their roots for renewal and sleep… Imitate the trees. Learn to lose in order to recover, and remember that nothing stays the same for long, not even pain, psychic pain. Sit it out. Let it all pass. Let it go.”

On the autumnal equinox, as I always do, I picked a ‘Fairy of the Season.’ ‘The Fairy of Let This Be the Magic’ arrived in his purple suit.

This fairy holds the very notion that our most challenging and difficult times might also assist the important transformations in our lives. Can you ‘learn to lose in order to recover’ like May Sarton suggests?

We wish you great ease in this process and fun!

All the best,

Emily and the Bluebird Fairies

Happy Art Hop

Hello Friends of Bluebird Fairies,

It was a pleasure to see so many of you during Art Hop last weekend.

It’s a special holiday for the artists in and around the Pine Street area in Burlington. I LOVED having the studio so full of people sharing stories about these earnest fairies that are in our lives.

Open for Business Art Hop 2019.jpg

Thank you for all who have signed up to receive notices about my blog postings. These happen once or twice a month and usually focus on a fairy.

Today, I’d like to highlight this fairy which I received today on my “Fairy of the Day” app.

Art Hop Regular 2019 Sun.jpg

The ‘Fairy of Getting Through by Trusting in the Sun’ showed up SO many times over the Art Hop weekend that I was not at all surprised today while heading back to my studio I received this fairy.

What does it mean that it’s showing up so much? I wonder…

and I leave you with this quote-

‘Years many wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul.' -Samuel Ullman

Onward and upward dear friends.

Fondly,

Emily and the Bluebird Fairies

p.s.- We’ll be at the Women’s Business Expo in the Vergennes Eagles Club on the afternoon of November 3rd. If you’re in the area please stop in and say ‘hi’ and get your ‘fairy of the day’ and much more.

Our 5th Anniversary

Dear Friends of Bluebird Fairies,

I hope this greeting finds you well. Typically, this time of year is a period of transition for many. If this is for you, I wish you ease in all that you do. And, a BIG smile.

For artists and businesses in the Pine Street area of Burlington, this time of year is all about The South End Art Hop. For the 2014 Art Hop I followed the advice of Stephanie Salmon, of Gotham City Graphics, to share my personal drawings with the world. I was very excited and curious to see how people would respond to them.

I never could have imagined what has followed; Fairy Card Readings in a Fairy Card Booth, Fairy and Demon Drawing Workshop, Fairy Decks and Cards, a Fairy of the Day APP and, the new, Inner Goose Certification Workshop.

Even more importantly, I didn’t realize that a community of people (that includes you!) would grow. One that uses Bluebird Fairies to put into action our phrase - “Earnest little drawings to help you do BIG THINGS.”

We hope to see ALL of you and celebrate our Birthday at Art Hop. Those of you who have been such an important guides and friends along this journey AND those we’ll be meeting for the first time.

Wishing you ALL the best as we all move into our good intentions with commitment.

Easy Days for Awesome Living

Hello Friends of Bluebird Fairies,

It’s time for me to say hello to you and hope that you’re moving through the concert of life with a full appreciation of the music.

When I spend time with music full of texture and depth, I’m able to fully appreciate that life IS truly full of complexity, simplicity, deep feelings, passion, softness, grace…. The list is endless.

So, in honor of that, I’ll share with you a fairy I made for Cricket Blue, an incredible musical duo that has been filling me with appreciation for life.

And, a fairy for YOU!

Love for Us All

Hello Friends of Bluebird Fairies,

It’s a been a busy month and a half since I’ve last posted.

Luckily, we’ve arrived in summer and I’m happy to say that the card I drew from the Bluebird Fairy Deck to guide us through this season is-

Loveforme.png

Oh, the ‘Fairy of Love for me!’ I feel like every where I turn she’s popping up to remind us to do this. Yes! ‘Open the door and let it in.’

Lena from the Power Path Seminars and School of Shamanism writes in her summer solstice post-

“This solstice supports family, home, nurturing, and taking care of your container, your body and your self care. The energy is feminine, creative, fertile and supportive to collaboration, honoring of Mother Earth and Mother figures, and feeding the seeds that you are planting for new projects and ideas. We are focused on honoring the sun as well, taking in the energy of that life force and filling ourselves up with it.”

I hope you can take in this wisdom.

Wishing you all well.

With much love,

Emily and the Bluebird Fairies
