Fairy of the Gold Candle

Dear Bluebird Fairy Friends,

I hope you're all doing well and enjoying that last bit of summer before we shift into the different energy that school life brings.

I've not written for a bit because I was getting married to my Fairy Prince, Brian Merrill.

Our wedding was a wonderful event on a hill in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.  Many people played important roles to make it a wonder-filled time for all.

Today, I want to dedicate this blog to a fairy that celebrates a wonderful role that a woman stepped into without even knowing it.  The magic in life is that we humans can do this for each other when the conditions are right.

Here she is:

The very last stanza of our wedding happened on Monday night when we'd returned to Burlington after a week on Crystal Lake.

I'd lost the candle the people at the restaurant we'd just eaten at had lit for us when they learned we'd just been married.  A woman helped us look for it in the City Market parking lot where it'd fallen out of the car.  We couldn't find it but when this woman sincerely and formally gave us her good thoughts about our future marriage she became the Golden Candle.

Keep finding the magic in every encounter with the natural world, with yourself and with others.

Have fun!

Fondly,

Emily and the Bluebird Fairies

Fairy of the Day

Hello Friends of Bluebird Fairies,

The 'Fairy of Fresh, inviting, uplifting and inspiring energy' has shown up and is the Fairy of the Day!!!

Fresh Inspiring Uplifting Energy.jpg

I drew this guy a few weeks ago and on 7.23 he showed up in my friend Marie Davis who invited me to participate in a Breathing Workshop at the Hive Studios.  That hour-long workshop gave me EVERYTHING this fairy describes and more.

I'm sure I'll be doing more workshops like this and will give a larger description of what they are. In the meantime, please ask the universe for what you need for new energy.  Send me a report on what you find.

Have fun!!

Emily and the Bluebird Fairies.

Unexpected Wonderfulness

Dear Bluebird Fairy Friends,

I hope you're all well and enjoying the summer.

Last night, I finally got out on the river in my kayak.  The water was calm and the sun was just thinking about setting.  My downstream friend had paddle boarded up and we sat floating while 'catching up.' Birds gently flew back and forth high above us and a great blue heron glided slowly by and settled nearby.  As I paddled my way home I was joined by a mother and baby beaver.  Splash!!!

Which brings me to my Fairy of the Day:

Fairy76.UnexpectedWonderfulness.jpg

The wonderful 'Fairy of Unexpected Wonderfulness is a fairy, like the one I previously posted about, from my early years of drawing fairies.  Oh, how nice to see you again.  How wonderful to feel your old messages of "We think of you.  We love you." in this chapter in my life.

Another unexpected wonderfulness is people writing to me about their experience with the Fairy of the Day app. Here's an email I recently received:

Good evening Emily - just a little note here saying how much I love your app, as well as the fact I can access the app on the bus when my phone can’t access a wireless network

The fairy I got just now was “the Fairy of Unexpected  Wonderfulness”, and it relates to my experiences both today and yesterday so well.

Thank you again for your wonderful world of fairies and their wise words.  -E.B.

I hope you can let the gifts of this fairy in today!

Have Fun!

Gentle New Beginnings

Dear Friends of Bluebird Fairies

Oh, I hope you're doing wonderfully.

After a big heat wave in the Northeast, we've been having wonderful summer weather.

I've been enjoying the response people have been having with the new 'Fairy of the Day' app.  It's SO cool to share these fairies I've  found personally so helpful and hear how they resonate with others so perfectly.

Today I received this fairy:

Fairy93.GentleNewBeginnings.jpg

Isn't she great?!

What I'm loving about the app is that among the 100 fairies there are 37 'new' ones.  But, a lot of those aren't really new.

The 'Fairy of Gentle New Beginnings' is an old friend from when I was living in the town of Hinesburg in a round house by a creek.  She, with her words of "Allow the Joy in", "Know there is more" and "Let New Grow" was such a balm to me then.

And, now, she is again.  How happy I was to see her on this day while feeling my 'bright new day' open up with so many things to do.

Enjoy the day!

Creating Space for the Growth of Good Things

Hello Friends of Bluebird Fairies,

We've just had Independence Day in the United States but I'd already been thinking of the 'Fairy of Independence' which, incidentally, I drew on July 4th about 5 years ago.  Here she is:

Fairy35.Independence.jpg

Ah, there she is easily saying "It's OPEN and OKAY."

When I drew her I'd recently relocated to a place in the country where I lived alone.  I'd just returned from helping new friends with 4th of July parade activities in town.  Once done, they'd gone off to do other things and I returned home.  At first, my heart felt a great emptiness but my mind knew I'd worked to create this space so I decided to draw.  I drew the fairy to hold the space without judgement and to prevent me from filling it.

We can do things with this space.  We don't know what it will be.  Sometimes you just have to let it be without any feeling attached to its existence.

So, I wish for you this space in any size or quantity that you desire.

Fondly,

Emily and the Bluebird Fairies

P.S. I want to tell you quietly and easily that this space allowed for my fairies to grow.  And many of them are now in my Fairy of the Day app which is out in the world spreading positivity.  You can find information on where to download it here.

If you do, please, if you're inspired, let me know what your first fairy was!
